Monitoring of a well 1km deep

Installing the "OF" System to monitor the temperature changes of the concrete walls of a borehole, during the cooling cycles with pressurized water. For this project the technology with distributed sensors has been used and a specific fiber has been produced and put into the well.
The system provided a temperature value every 5 cm, with a reading frequency of 1 data per second: about 20.000 data per second, in total.
System installation time was 2 days and data acquisition time was 8 hours.
The fiber has been installed and connected to one acquisition machine DTS, on which runs the “OF” Software for the analysis, in real-time, of the parameters to be monitored.
The NTSG provided the customer with management and data analysis service throughout the “OF” System operation.
