BUILDINGS SURROUNDING THE “LA RINASCENTE” PALACE

RINASCENTE NEW HEADQUARTERS BUILDING AND SURROUNDINGS

Monitoring of the new headquarters of La Rinascente in Rome on Via del Tritone and neighbouring buildings.

Location: Rome – Via del Tritone
Client: CMB – Cooperativa Muratori e Braccianti di Carpi
Duration of the monitoring service: 38 months
Project start date: 2017

Installation of the “OF Building” system was installed to monitor the imbalances and inclinations of the four buildings perimeter to the new construction, during the demolition and reconstruction phase of the new building.

Measurements of 3D deformations and loads of three reinforced concrete support props, were placed between a building under demolition and the adjacent building.

Deformation and displacement monitoring of the reinforced concrete slab at the base of the new building.

The system was implemented in 10 days, the monitoring service lasted 38 months.

The measurements were carried out at a frequency of one data per second from each sensor simultaneously, 100 sensors installed, approximately 500 m of optical fibre laid on site, 100 data per second acquired by the active system H24-365D

The measurement technique applied is the semi-distributed one with deformation and temperature sensors connected to a single optical interrogator on which the Edgegateway software is installed for real-time analysis of the quantities monitored.

NTSG supported the customer in the analysis of the data and the maintenance of the system, while providing a web interface for viewing and controlling the readings taken by the system and the alarms recorded.
